We often get asked about the process of getting a motorcycle license. Whilst we are intimately familiar with how to do this in many parts of the world, for the purposes of this article, we will focus exclusively on how do this in Canada.
The purpose of this narrative is to help new/beginner riders to understand the steps that they need to go through to get a Canadian Motorcycle License.
INTRODUCTION:
Getting a motorcycle license in Canada is a reasonably straight forward process. There may be some peculiarities and nuances across the different provinces, but we’ll use the licensing process for Ontario. After all, Ontario is where most of the registered motorcycles are in Canada.
In very simple terms, there are really only three steps - even though Step 3 is something that comes later in your riding journey. Don’t worry, all will become clear as we go through this narrative.
