DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN'S RIDE 2026 Preview

We rarely need an excuse to go for a ride.  A break in the clouds, a reasonable forecast and an unplanned route is usually all it takes.  If we add in the chance to meet lots of other riders, while raising money for charity, nothing will stop us from gearing up and taking to the streets.  This is most definitely the case as we sign up for the this years’ 15th anniversary Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION :

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa.  It was originally inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s ‘Don Draper’ astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit.  Mark decided that a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities, while raising funds to support the men in our lives.

The event itself raises money and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.  The DGR has grown enormously over since it was conceived in 2012.  Since that time, the charity has managed to raise over US$60m.  It been so successful at capturing the imagination of the global motorcycle community that it now spans 121 countries and over 500,000 riders have got involved.

As many of you already know, the DGHR is a charity event and one that we attend every year.  Between us, the team at Moto-Kulture has managed to raise over $12,000 in the last four years for this worthy cause.

This year, our team members will be participating in this event in multiple different locations - including Toronto (Canada), London (UK), Stuttgart (Germany) and Vancouver (Canada).  If you’ve signed up for the Toronto ride, you’ll probably bump into our founder (Mark) and our Social Media Manager (Victoria).  We’d love to get to know you, so please come over, introduce yourself and have a chat.
