As 2026 ushers in the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse, lets take a closer look at the iconic symbolism and what the year has in store.
The Chinese zodiac is a traditional classification scheme based on the Chinese calendar. This calendar assigns an animal, and its reputed attributes, to each year in a repeating twelve-year cycle. This differs from the Western zodiac, in which there are 12 individual signs per year.
In traditional Chinese culture, the zodiac is very important and exists as a reflection of Chinese philosophy and culture. A culture and philosophy that believes that one’s personality is related to the attributes of their zodiac animal.
